Life after the Stumble Button

The StumbleUpon blog has been exported and uploaded, tweaking is occuring, friends, followers and fans are being notified. Groups are being archived, screenshots taken.
This flurry of activity is due to the developers of Stumbleupon deciding to stab their loyal userbase in the back and remove all the blogging features on SU like photoblogging, using html and being able to post single ‘blog posts’ i.e. all the bits that made it fun.

I will continue to use the SU messaging features to keep in contact with some of the many friends I have made during the last seven years.

Let’s hope that things get better from now on, update your bookmarks.

  • I am at Categorian as NewSherlock.. I will probably still stumble as well as staggering about.

Once again, I shall be in England hunting out the wild Christmas market and trolling through museums this November and December.

Have fun at the new site. I shall drop by.

    • Great, thanks for visiting. Also I can recommend the Christmas market in the City of Lincoln - if you are able to make it.

  • This is a perfect example of why it is so important to have your own website rather than building your home on the web at some free social media site. You are in control when you are on your own website. If you make your main web presence on Facebook (or StumbleUpon) you are at their mercy if when they decide to change their terms of service.

Good on you for migrating your StumbleUpon blog over here to its new home.
